I love to follow up my cnngo features with a little hands on background info about what all went into the story or what happened after the article was posted. Usually there’s always something that wouldn’t fit in the story or not directly related to what I wrote, but still of interest. I bring it up here where I can have my way and say what I want and there’s no better example of me having my way than with my sooped up jeans?
That’s right, I finally got my fly new gear from the Denim Don this week. You know I’m itching to do a little web-stunting and show everyone why you need to put your own order in with Ben. Seriously the man can do anything. I just call him up and make up ridiculous orders because I know he’ll get it done. I called him joking about suspenders and just look what kinda dopeness he stitched up for me this time using his favorite Japanese selvage denim:
Also hung around his workshop being nosy while he added some extra stitching detail to the black selvage denim jeans I copped from him. Then the leather started flying and hooked up a custom hip “anything” bag with a special Blackberry pocket and threw it on my hip in just a few minutes.
More pictures of my gear and Ben’s other work on his posterous page.
